9 Ways to Stay Productive at Home
Whether you're in lockdown alone, with friends or family we know it can be hard to stay productive in these uncertain times.
We want to share with you 9 ways you can stay productive over the lock down period to make an easier transition when lockdown restrictions have been lifted.
Routine – Daily routine can help you feel more in control of everything. Routine helps you to build healthy habits and reduce stress levels. When practicing a regular and consistent routine it can also be great for mental health.
Eat Habits – Having a balanced and healthy diet not only helps with overall health but it also gives you the right energy throughout the day to enable you to stay productive when carrying out daily tasks.
Training/Upskilling – Using your free time to train and upskill not only shows your employee that you care about your job but it enables us to feel a sense of accomplishment and gives you a brighter outlook on future opportunities within your career pathway.
Alone Time – Alone time when practiced regularly helps with our mental health and helps us to feel moreconnected and happier as individuals. Take time out each day and regularly practice ‘Me Time’
Get Dressed – Although it maybe tempting to stay in your comfy clothes or pyjamas all day long because you’re not leaving the house, we recommend not! When getting dressed it changes your mindset. It’s something so simple that helps to turn your mind on and make you ready for the day ahead.
Clean the House – Cleaning the house not only kills germs it enables you to have a clean environment to undertake daily activities that lay ahead. Whether you are working from home, looking after the children or watching TV, a clean home will help your mindset and gives you a sense of accomplishment.
Keep up Social Interactions – Social interactions (via digital channels) help us feel connected with our
loved ones and the outside world during the lockdown period. Connecting with your loved ones regularly helps with your mental health! We would also recommend a healthy balance when using digital platforms and ensure you are taking a healthy amount of time away from them.
Learn a New Hobby – Learning a new hobby not only teaches you a fun new skill it also helps broaden your horizons and gives you the perfect opportunity to connect with other likeminded people which can be very healthy for your social life.
Update your CV – Whether you’ve lost your job, or you are using this time to find a new career opportunity we highly recommend reviewing your current CV. An updated CV stands out amongst the rest of applicants (which at this time will be a lot) If you need help with writing your CV check out our blog here
